The objectives of our therapeutic relationship will vary according to your needs. We may be concerned with developmental issues, addressing or resolving specific such as anxiety related difficulties, phobias or depression, making decisions, coping with crisis, developing personal insight and knowledge, working through feelings of inner-conflict or improving relationships with others.

Training
Eighteen months clinical placement NHS GP Practice Counsellor (1995-6). Four years (1995 - 1999) with the National Phobic Society. One year clinical research NHS Primary Care GP's Practice Counselling in Rochdale (1998-9, during the above and afterwards I also had a successful private counselling /psychotherapy practice.
I am currently employed (15 years) /working [FULL TIME] in a multi-disciplinary IAPT Primary Care Mental Health Team for a NHS Foundation Trust as; Senior Psychological Practitioner (Lead Role) Cognitive Behavioural Therapies.
I hold professional memberships with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies [BABCP] and British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy [BACP], my therapeutic practice is supervised monthly, I have full professional indemnity insurance and work within 'Guidelines for Good Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies [BABCP]. And the 'Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy [BACP].
