CBT formulated ACT with Mindful (MT) & Compassion (CFT)

ACT

All of us attempt to avoid things that our 'minds' tell us could harm us - that is how we (humans) have survived.

This strategy works well in the real world.  And maybe,  just maybe that's where we begin.

RFT - The science

Relational frame theory focuses on functional contextualism which emphasizes the importance of predicting and influencing psychological events such as thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, by focusing on manipulable variables in the context in which these events occur.

ACT - The Practice

An empirically-based psychological intervention that uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies mixed in different ways with commitment and behaviour-change strategies, to increase psychological flexibility.

ACT - Aims

To help you to clarify your personal values and to take action on them, bringing vitality and meaning to your life.
